The Cinnaminson Pirates's road trip will continue as they head out to face Trenton Catholic Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Cinnaminson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Cinnaminson put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Northern Burlington 51-25. Given Cinnaminson's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Northern Burlington is ranked 276th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Trenton Catholic Academy earned a 57-48 victory over West Catholic on Saturday.
It was another big night for Mayah Alford, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Olivia Moore was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five assists and five steals.
Cinnaminson's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-2. As for Trenton Catholic Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Cinnaminson strolled past Trenton Catholic Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 53-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cinnaminson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
