Harrisburg's loss came despite strong showings from Axel Heeb and Jayvin Thompson. Heeb scored 21 points, while Thompson scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that Thompson scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Eastin Gray, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Harrisburg has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season. As for Rivercrest, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrisburg will face off against the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Midland has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14. As for Rivercrest, they will head out on the road to face off against the Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Osceola has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,512 points over their last 21 games.
