The McGavock Raiders lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They suffered a rough 61-37 defeat at the hands of Hillsboro. While losing is never fun, McGavock can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while Hillsboro is ranked 107th).
Hillsboro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eboni Donaldson out in front who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Donaldson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Shinae Johnson, who scored 16 points.
McGavock has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-8 record this season. As for Hillsboro, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.
McGavock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hillsboro also has no future games currently scheduled.
