The Ganado Indians were the 27-26 winner over the Rice Consolidated Raiders when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Ganado was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 27-26 to Rice Consolidated.
Ganado's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Isabel Tristan, who scored ten points along with five rebounds, and Zoey Ybarra who scored eight points along with five steals. Ybarra scored a full 30.8% of Ganado's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ganado has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Rice Consolidated, their victory bumped their record up to 2-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ganado will take on Moulton at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rice Consolidated, they will be playing at home against Tidehaven at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Tidehaven is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
