One team took the elevator way up and another took it way down in the power rankings this week. We'll tackle that and more in this week's report.

Bullis's 42 - 6 win over Fork Union Military Academy last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Eric McKan III. McKan III earned three touchdowns and 154 yards rushing the ball. That performance made McKan III one of the best players in the power rankings last week.

The battle between Martinsburg (ranked 1st in WV) and Eastern (ranked 11th in DC) turned out to be a somewhat underwhelming one. Martinsburg picked up a decisive 'W' against Eastern, finishing up at 47 - 0. Martinsburg saw its record improve to 3-0 and its power rank jump five places as a result.
No Stoppin 'Em
Stone Bridge was the big favorite in its game against Lake Braddock last week, and for good reason. The final score between Stone Bridge and Lake Braddock was a 70 - 3 blowout in Stone Bridge's favor. Junior Zakias Moore was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he rushed for 102 yards and four touchdowns). The combined 73 points was the most of any game featuring a power-ranked team.
Movin on Up
Centreville gave both South County and its quarterback (sacked five times) a rough time last week. Centreville claimed a 26 - 14 victory over South County. Two standouts for Centreville were senior Jordan Wright and junior Jaquan Price; the former ran for 109 yards and also punched in two touchdowns while the latter earned two touchdowns and 100 yards rushing the ball. The success catapulted Centreville ten spots up the power rankings, enough to make it the biggest riser of the week.
