Oberlin is 9-1 against Wellington since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Oberlin The Phoenix will head out on the road to face off against the Wellington Dukes at 7:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Oberlin was beaten by Midview 64-23. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oberlin in their matchups with Midview: they've now lost four in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Julian Anderson, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, Wellington gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 58-28 victory over New London.
Open Door Christian's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Oberlin's defeat dropped theirs to 0-1.
Oberlin came out on top in a nail-biter against Wellington when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 52-50. Will Oberlin repeat their success, or does Wellington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
