Gray Collegiate Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Legacy Early College proved too difficult a challenge. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 56-18 win over the War Eagles. That 38 point margin sets a new team best for Legacy Early College this season.
In what's become a running theme this season, Grace Christian gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Northwood, posting a 76-37 win at home. Given Grace Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Northwood is ranked 80th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sarah Strong was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 26 points, 26 rebounds, and ten assists. She hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for 13 straight games. Isabella "Isa" Roman was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine assists.
Legacy Early College has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Grace Christian, their victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-0.
Legacy Early College ended up a good deal behind Grace Christian in their previous matchup back in January, losing 63-48. Can Legacy Early College avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
