There's no place like home for the Jackson Christian Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They strolled past Trinity Christian Academy with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-32. Given Jackson Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Trinity Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Mary Grace Cleek scored 13 points. Mallory Arnold was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Jackson Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-4. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-6 record last season and are now at 3-13.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Tipton-Rosemark Academy the next time they take the court. Trinity Christian Academy will head out to face Tipton-Rosemark Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Jackson Christian will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
