Leading Bishop's to victory were Ian Browne and Cash Herrera. Browne picked up 169 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while Herrera threw for 283 yards and six touchdowns while completing 88% of his passes. Herrera is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Ruben Gutierrez iii was another key contributor, gaining 66 total yards and two touchdowns.
Francis Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Bishop's, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Francis Parker will square off against La Jolla Country Day at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Jolla Country Day presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Francis Parker in California (La Jolla Country Day is ranked 388th, while Francis Parker is ranked 779th). As for Bishop's, they will head out on the road to face off against Santa Fe Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Santa Fe Christian is on a three-game streak of home wins, Bishop's a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
