On Wednesday, The Academy earned a 56-44 win over Brighton.
The Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trey Boychuk, who scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gavin Massler, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin Sickler, who scored 11 points along with 4 steals. Micah Spotts was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
The Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Brighton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
The Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Denver North at 8:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Denver North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Wednesday. As for Brighton, they will head out on the road to face off against Skyline at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Skyline is ranked 149th, while Brighton is ranked 169th).
