Smithtown West had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 49-37 to West Babylon on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Smithtown West in their matchups with West Babylon: they've now lost three in a row.
It was another big night for Jade Dockery, who scored 25 points along with seven steals and six rebounds for West Babylon. The contest was Dockery's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jaelynn Burgess was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Smithtown West's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for West Babylon, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Smithtown West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Babylon also has no future games currently scheduled.
