Beddingfield's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jhion Ashby, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Tysean Speight, who scored 12 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Goldsboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maurice Tyler, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Amari Latham was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Beddingfield's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Goldsboro, their victory was their 23rd straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2.
Beddingfield will take on North Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Johnston is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Goldsboro, they will head out on the road to square off against Princeton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Princeton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 579th, while Goldsboro is ranked 64th).
