4A Northern recap September 10, 2013
Eli Sullivan of Longmont ran for the longest rushing play in 4A Northern this season against Grand Junction Central last week. Sullivan ran for 94 yards on the play and finished with 152 on the day as his team defeated the Warriors.
Loveland was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Roosevelt. The Indians came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 43 last week.
Bryce Lamar was a key player and the best on defense this week as Thompson Valley beat Skyline. The 6-foot-0 junior grabbed 2.0 sacks.
Tanner Bohm was a passing and rushing force as Windsor topped Fossil Ridge.
Bohm was a force in the backfield as the Wizards topped the Sabercats.
Clint Sigg threw for 102 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 6-7 with 0 interceptions.
Bohm was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 212 yards on 16 carries as Windsor bested the Falcons. Teammate Wil Dressor added to the ground attack by rushing for 43 yards.
Firchau was the best wideout in the league this week as Thompson Valley beat Skyline. Firchau tallied 3 receptions for 32 yards. Drew Meintzer helped Thompson Valley's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 32 yards.
Sigg put up the best numbers in passing as Longmont defeated Grand Junction Central.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Gunner Mengel. The Thompson Valley star has 5 catches for 169 yards.
Greeley Central took down Adams City 62-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
