They blew past St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 75-19 at home. Pomeroy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five games by 26 points or more this season.
Among those leading the charge was Jett Slusser, who scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Oliver Severs was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Pomeroy's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Pomeroy will head out on the road to face off against Liberty Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 215th, while Pomeroy is ranked 97th). St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Oakesdale at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Oakesdale is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
