Softball Recap: Pullman Has No Trouble Against North Central

After only two runs in their last match, Pullman made sure to put some runs up on the board against North Central on Saturday. The Greyhounds put the hurt on the Wolfpack with a sharp 28-4 win. The Greyhounds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 13 runs or more this season.

Bailee Randall was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Taylor Cromie was a standout: she got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Izzy Dahmen, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Pullman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .679. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Central only posted an OBP of .391.

Pullman's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for North Central, they are on a 29-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pullman beat the Wolfpack by a score of 23-1 later that day.
