The Legacy Charter Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the St. Joseph Academy Flashes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy Charter comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Legacy Charter had to suffer through a rough 37-7 loss at the hands of Orangewood Christian. Legacy Charter was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Legacy Charter's defeat came about despite a quality game from Shazarr Roberts, who gained 100 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Academy fell victim to Eastside's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Rams 43-0. While losing is never fun, St. Joseph Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 496th, while Eastside is ranked 198th).
The losses dropped Legacy Charter to 2-5 and St. Joseph Academy to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for Legacy Charter against St. Joseph Academy in their previous meeting back in September of 2021 as the team secured a 41-0 victory. Will Legacy Charter repeat their success, or does St. Joseph Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
