If the Winters Warriors were feeling good off their 81-56 takedown of the Live Oak Lions last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Winters fell to the Bears 51-46. If Winters was looking for revenge after losing 49-39 to them when the teams met on Tuesday, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Drew Burnum continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pierce, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tony Maldonado, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Winters' defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Pierce, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winters will take on the Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pierce, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Durham has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 266 points over their last four matchups.
