Hirsch has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Goode STEM Academy Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hirsch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Hirsch took a serious blow against Julian, falling 70-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hirsch in their matchups with Julian: they've now lost six in a row.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Delrius Wilkins, who scored 16 points along with two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isiah Ramos, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Goode STEM Academy came up short against Noble Street College Prep on Monday and fell 52-44.
Hirsch's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Goode STEM Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Hirsch won a match that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in December of 2023, slipping by Goode STEM Academy 45-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hirsch since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
