After a string of three wins, The Cascade Christian Cougars''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Omak.
Cascade Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Tangen, who rushed for 104 yards on only 12 carries. Jackson Almond was another key contributor, picking up 20 receiving yards.
Even if they lost, Cascade Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with eight sacks. It was a group effort, with three guys contributing.
Cascade Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Omak, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Cascade Christian will head out on the road to face off against Klahowya at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Klahowya will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Omak will take on Deer Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Deer Park is ranked 84th, while Omak is ranked 109th).
