Southeast Guilford has gone a perfect 4-0 against Asheboro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Falcons will welcome the Blue Comets at 7:30 p.m. Asheboro took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Southeast Guilford, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, it was close, but Southeast Guilford sidestepped Eastern Guilford for a 13-10 win. Those 13 points were actually the fewest the Falcons have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Travis Motley produced another solid performance rushing for 169 yards. Those 169 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Southeast Guilford was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 318 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Asheboro was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 31-27 to Northern Guilford. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Blue Comets, who until this contest were averaging 14.67 points allowed.
Southeast Guilford will have to contain Dallas Brinton as he made an impact in Asheboro's last game. He rushed for 132 yards and one score, and also threw for 172 yards and a pair of TDs. Garrison Cheek was another key player, gaining 97 total yards and a touchdown.
Southeast Guilford's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.0 points over those games. As for Asheboro, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Southeast Guilford has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 272.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Asheboro struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 245.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Southeast Guilford against Asheboro in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, as the squad secured a 27-0 victory. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Blue Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
