Clovis North is 9-1 against Madera since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Broncos will be playing at home against the Coyotes at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Clovis North is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. Everything went their way against Hollister as they made off with an 11-2 victory.
Jocelynn Gonzalez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Gonzalez was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Riley Grealy was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Addison Valdez was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Madera had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Golden Valley a 13-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Like Clovis North, Madera also got a great game from a two-way player: Isabella Aguirre. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Aguirre was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Madera got a massive performance out of Malea Ricks, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Ricks is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Kearney Opfergelt, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Clovis North came out on top in a nail-biter against Madera when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Broncos repeat their success, or do the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
