The Halifax Academy Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 77-54 margin over Kerr-Vance Academy. The win was just what Halifax Academy needed coming off of a 71-36 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Thad Harris, who scored 33 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Peoples, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Kerr-Vance Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being M.j. Wright, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tim Hudson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Halifax Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.
Halifax Academy will head out on the road to take on Lawrence Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Kerr-Vance Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Fayetteville Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. One thing working in Fayetteville Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
