After flying high against Beverly  last Wednesday, Marblehead came back down to earth. The Marblehead Magicians fell just short of the Notre Dame Academy Cougars by a score of  3-2 on Friday.  Despite the loss, Marblehead still got an impressive performance from   Megan Parkman, who  had 15  digs and two  aces.
 She wasn't the only good server: Marblehead  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 16  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in ten consecutive  matches  dating back to last season.
  Ava Orlando had an outrageously good game for Notre Dame Academy as she  had 30  digs and five  aces.
 The  defeat snapped Marblehead's winning streak at four games  and leaves them with a 5-3 record. As for Notre Dame Academy,  the  victory snapped their losing streak at three games  and leaves them with a 5-3 record.
 Marblehead will take on Danvers at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Notre Dame Academy, they will head out to  face off against Plymouth North  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
