Lockhart is on an eight-game streak of home losses, and Glenn a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Lockhart Lions will look to defend their home court against the Glenn Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m.
Lockhart lost 3-0 to Rouse on Tuesday.
While Lockhart ultimately came up short, they really made Rouse work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 26-24, 25-15.
Meanwhile, Glenn came into Tuesday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Lehman by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.
Glenn had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-13, 25-22, 25-20.
Lockhart better focus on containing Grace Phelan and Natasha Mendoza as the pair were huge in Glenn's win. Phelan had four digs and three aces, while Mendoza had ten digs and one assist. That's the most aces Phelan has posted since back in September of 2024.
Glenn was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
Glenn's win bumped their record up to 14-23. As for Lockhart, their loss dropped their record down to 6-31.
Lockhart might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Glenn in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Lions have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other volleyball content.
