Mesa Ridge has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Pine Creek Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Mesa Ridge's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Mesa Ridge pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-58 to Pueblo South. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (56), Mesa Ridge still had to take the loss.
Mesa Ridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Bryce Riehl, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals, and Tanner Widic who scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The contest was Riehl's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tevin Riehl, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Pine Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Sierra on Thursday, taking the game 40-27.
Blake Marshall continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Pine Creek's points. Paul Grier was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 rebounds.
Their wins bumped Mesa Ridge to 4-1 and Pueblo South to 2-1.
