The Sterling Raiders came tearing into Monday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 38-31 victory over Madison. This was payback for Sterling, who suffered a 36-20 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading Sterling to victory were Amanda Scott and Joemoriah Ben. Scott scored 12 points along with two blocks, while Ben scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which Ben has scored at least a third of Sterling's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Morrow, who scored six points.
Sterling is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. As for Madison, their defeat ended a 17-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 13-5.
Sterling does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Madison also has no future games currently scheduled.
