The Sierra Linda Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 58-21 loss at the hands of McClintock. Sierra Linda has not had much luck with McClintock recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Sierra Linda had strong showings from Amairany Meza, who scored five points along with seven rebounds, and Mariana Mathis, who scored two points.
McClintock was led to victory by Niya Gamble and Lamaiya Woodberry. Gamble dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Woodberry scored 21 points along with three steals. Woodberry hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Malani Reynoso was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Sierra Linda has been struggling recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-19 record this season. As for McClintock, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
