Randleman is 9-1 against Wheatmore since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Randleman Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Wheatmore Warriors at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Randleman has six straight victories, Wheatmore has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Randleman's strategy against Trinity on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Randleman blew Trinity out of the water with a 55-7 final score. That 48 points margin sets a new team best for Randleman this season.
Randleman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chenleigh Robinson, who scored 11 points along with nine steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Audra Petty, who scored 18 points.
Meanwhile, Wheatmore came up short against Uwharrie Charter on Tuesday and fell 37-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wheatmore has scored all season.
Randleman's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. As for Wheatmore, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
Randleman didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Wheatmore in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 47-41 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Randleman since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
