After flying high against the Northside Eagles on Tuesday, the Bleckley County Royals came back down to earth. Bleckley County fell just short of Dodge County by a score of 64-62. Bleckley County has struggled against Dodge County recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Among those leading the charge was Will Jordan, who scored 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaedon Mcclendon, who scored 18 points.
Bleckley County's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Dodge County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Bleckley County will head out on the road to face off against Northside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 405th, while Bleckley County is ranked 106th). Dodge County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Brooks County at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Brooks County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
