You can't lose the contest if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Bayfront Charter's strategy against the Lions on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Bayfront Charter blew the Lions out of the water with a 61-21 final score. With Bayfront Charter ahead 40-11 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Meanwhile, O'Farrell Charter unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of High Tech CV by a score of 52-49. O'Farrell Charter has not had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Sador Rusom, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rafael Halabaso, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Bayfront Charter's victory bumped their record up to 14-6. As for O'Farrell Charter, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-11.
Bayfront Charter was dealt a bruising 65-29 loss at the hands of the Falcons in their previous meeting back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bayfront Charter was down 32-11.
