At the plate, Kaitlyn Washington and Jordana King did most of the damage at the plate: Washington went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while King went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Washington is on a roll when it comes to triples, as she's now hit at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mae Valenta, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Garfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
