Boulder City is 3-0 against Mater Academy East Las Vegas since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Boulder City Eagles will face off against the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights at 4:30 p.m. Boulder City will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Boulder City is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 53-0 win over Doral Academy Red Rock. The Eagles pushed the score to 40-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Dragons had no chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Boulder City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Makayla Nelson, who threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 43 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Nelson has posted since back in December of 2024. Noelle Payne was another key back, rushing for 85 yards and one touchdown.
Nelson was just one part of a punishing run game: Boulder City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 242 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 175 rushing yards in 12 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Mater Academy East Las Vegas owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They blew past Democracy Prep Agassi Campus 28-0.
Boulder City better focus on containing Cheyanne Thornhill and Jasmine White as the pair were huge in Mater Academy East Las Vegas' win. Thornhill threw for 109 yards and two touchdowns, while White rushed for 47 yards.
Boulder City pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points per game. As for Mater Academy East Las Vegas, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Wednesday's match will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Nelson and Thornhill. Nelson just won't slow down this season and has thrown 26 touchdowns while averaging 98.6 passing yards per game. Thornhill has been a dominant force too and has thrown 25 touchdowns while averaging 127.7 passing yards per game.
Boulder City took their win against Mater Academy East Las Vegas in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 32-6. Will Boulder City repeat their success, or does Mater Academy East Las Vegas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
