Basketball Recap: Foster Finds Home Court Redemption Against Fulshear

There's no place like home for Foster, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 58-49 win over the Fulshear Chargers on Wednesday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Chargers are ranked 509th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Foster had a senior duo take command as Jalen Stephanson went 6 for 12 en route to 16 points and six boards and Jaron Martin went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points. What's more, Martin also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Daniel Humphrey, who posted four points along with nine rebounds and four blocks.

Foster was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fulshear only racked up nine assists.

Fulshear's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Toby Princewill, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 boards, and Aaron Thomas, who earned 11 points and three steals. Princewill is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox So, who scored four points.

Foster moved to 14-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Fulshear, they dropped their record down to 12-18 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Foster wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 43-40 win against Alief Taylor on the 1st. Fulshear has also already played their next matchup, a 61-55 loss against Strake Jesuit on the 1st.
