It was a good run, but Vanguard unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the North Marion Colts by a score of 52-49. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Knights have suffered since January 11th.

Vanguard's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for North Marion, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Vanguard will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fleming Island at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. North Marion also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Keystone Heights at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
