Kewaunee and Valders are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. The Kewaunee Storm will head out on the road to face off against the Valders Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a seven-game winning streak alive.
Kewaunee has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Peshtigo 62-22 at home. Given Kewaunee's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Peshtigo is ranked 427th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Valders earned a 46-37 win over Brillion on Friday.
Kewaunee's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. Valders' record now sits at 7-2.
Kewaunee suffered a grim 60-35 defeat to Valders when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Kewaunee avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
