It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Meadowbrook had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They beat the Harrison Central Huskies by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-5. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Meadowbrook, bringing their record up to 22-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Harrison Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-10.

Looking ahead, Meadowbrook will square off against Logan Elm at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Braves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Colts' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Harrison Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
