Morrison had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Somonauk Bobcats 13-0 on Thursday. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Bella Duncan was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than 11  strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Elle Milnes, who  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs.  Madi Armitage was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Morrison was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .577. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Morrison has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Somonauk, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-14.
 Morrison has already played their next game,  a  9-0  win against Princeton on the 24th. Somonauk does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
