Basketball Recap: Mullins Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Mullins waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the South Brunswick Cougars 66-38. The Auctioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mullins to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dakarai Worley, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Worley has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Deyon Ford was another key player, going 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points and six assists.

Mullins was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Mullins' victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for South Brunswick, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Mullins didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-34 win against Richland Northeast on the 21st. As for South Brunswick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 77-31 defeat against Conway on the 21st.
