The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nickolas Black, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. The match was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lamontae Cross, who scored 13 points along with 7 steals and 6 assists.
Meanwhile, even though Indianapolis Washington scored an imposing 70 points on Saturday, 21st Century Charter still came out on top. 21st Century Charter enjoyed a cozy 84-70 win over Indianapolis Washington.
Terrence Hayes and Lemetrius "Meachy" Williams were among the main playmakers for 21st Century Charter as the former scored 27 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds and the latter dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hayes has scored at least 25% of 21st Century Charter's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ron Mosely, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals.
East Chicago Central's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Bowman Academy's loss dropped theirs to 1-2.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Bowman Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 36.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like 21st Century Charter struggles in that department as they've been even better at 43 per game.
