Baseball Recap: Benjamin Franklin Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Benjamin Franklin hadn't beaten ALA - Ironwood on the road since April 19, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Wednesday. The Chargers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 11-8. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-1 back in March.

Jacob Moran was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Benjamin Franklin: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-9-1 otherwise. Paolo Baca was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for ALA - Ironwood, they will take on Gilbert Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
