The Roncalli Royals will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Danville Warriors at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Roncalli is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 54-32 margin over Northview. The victory continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won three in a row.

Roncalli can attribute much of their success to Collin Ash, who rushed for 90 yards and four touchdowns, and Alex Jarvis, who gained 208 total yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Ash has posted since back in September of 2024.
Roncalli didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Northview to a completion percentage of just 50%. The team can thank Will Hegwood for the heroic effort on defense: he. Roncalli has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.63 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.63 in their last three games.
Roncalli didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Carrington Pitts and Brady Tillar. Tillar has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last four times he's played. Luke Baker was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Danville). They blew past Indianapolis Shortridge 55-7 on Friday. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Warriors had established a 42-point advantage.
Roncalli better keep an eye on Daiton Hood. He was instrumental in Danville's win, rushing for 192 yards and four TDs on only 12 carries. They are 4-1 when Hood posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. Danville also got help from Liam O'Brien, who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.
Danville's defense made their presence known, laying out Terrill Stallworth five times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece.
Roncalli's record is now 7-3. As for Danville, their record now sits at 6-4.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Roncalli has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 183.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Danville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 212.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other football content.
