Basketball Recap: Joe Winter and Damon Dittmar Secure Win for River Ridge

River Ridge won the last time they faced Belmont and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the River Ridge Wildcats' way against the Belmont Braves as the River Ridge Wildcats made off with a 76-53 win.

River Ridge was led to victory by Damon Dittmar and Joe Winter. Dittmar went 9 of 18 on his way to 27 points, while Winter went 8 for 11 on his way to 17 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Winter's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Smith, who posted seven points along with nine assists and six steals.

River Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Belmont, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

River Ridge will face off against Milledgeville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. River Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.5 points per game this season. As for Belmont, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Monticello at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
