Defeat or not, Rio Vista got some senior leadership from Ashlynd Rhett and John Peterson. Rhett dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Peterson. scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. That was a full 35.6% of Rio Vista's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Highlands' good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Golden Sierra 58-52. Highlands has not had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Rio Vista's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-7. As for Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-11.
