Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Pierce, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wade Powles, who scored ten points.
It was another big night for Drake Travis, who scored 23 points along with three steals for Douglas County West. Travis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Ryker Wohlers was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with five rebounds.
Louisville has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Douglas County West, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Louisville will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Raymond Central at 2:00 p.m. Raymond Central is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Douglas County West, they will head out on the road to take on Yutan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yutan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 134th, while Douglas County West is ranked 18th).
