The Kingsland Knights will be playing at home against the Schaeffer Academy Lions at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Kingsland had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Crestwood 60-39.
Kingsland can attribute much of their success to Max Erdman, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds, and Jayden Brink, who scored 16 points along with 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Howard, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Schaeffer Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Wabasha-Kellogg on Saturday, taking the game 61-54. The victory was just what Schaeffer Academy needed coming off of a 69-30 defeat in their prior match.
Kingsland's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Schaeffer Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Kingsland came up short against Schaeffer Academy in their previous matchup back in February, falling 75-71. Can Kingsland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
