Lynnden Hodge's Big Game Leads Buena Park over University
Starting off the list is Buena Park's Lynnden Hodge, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Hodge rushed for 218 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 74 receiving yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 131 rushing yards.

University was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Carl Oldham did his best to prevent it. Buena Park had no answer to Oldham as he picked up 107 receiving yards and a touchdown. Oldham is becoming a predictor of University's success: when he posts at least 80 receiving yards the team is 3-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).
On the year, Oldham has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 85.3 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 3.43 receiving yards per game.

A Season-Best Performance from Joshua Whang Leads Portola over Katella
Joshua Whang produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Portola to the win on Friday. Whang rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards.
Portola's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. Whang and Portola will challenge University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
