Providence Catholic was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Crete-Monee. The Celtics came in at 19 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Adding to the longest winning streak in Chicago Catholic - Blue this week, St. Rita beat Willowbrook 34-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Mustangs.
St. Rita's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. TOMMY MISTER threw for 41 yards and DION BOBO, JR had 41 yards receiving. On the ground MISTER chipped in 111 yards.
BOBO, JR was the best receiver in the league this week as Todd Kuska's team beat the Warriors. BOBO, JR racked up 3 receptions for 41 yards.
St. Rita's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. MISTER has thrown for 996 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while JULIAN CRUM has 17 catches for 400 yards. MISTER also leads the league in rushing with 1,373 yards.
The most important game in Chicago Catholic - Blue this week will be the match up between the Mustangs and Mount Carmel. St. Rita comes into the matchup ranked third in the state, while the Caravan ranks first.
The Mustangs' offense has recorded 361 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Mount Carmel has permitted only 74 on the year.
Frank Lenti's team took down Benet Academy 49-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
