Buckholts can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They breezed by Varsity Opponent to the tune of 56-25. The Badgers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Buckholts' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caylee Velez, who posted 22 points and four steals. Velez continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabella Ramirez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds.

Buckholts was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Buckholts' win bumped their record up to 2-9.

Buckholts will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Fayetteville at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-13 defeat against Pope County on the 17th.
