On Thursday, Palm Beach Gardens was able to grind out a solid win over Leonard, taking the game 13-9. The victory continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won five in a row.
Marcus Nixon looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in February.

On the hitting side, Tony Bieber was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 3-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Palm Beach Gardens' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-7 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Turner, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Seminole Ridge's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vero Beach on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Hawks in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.
Dylan Peek was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
Palm Beach Gardens' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Seminole Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
