Basketball Recap: Upper Dauphin Area Takes a Loss

Upper Dauphin Area lost against Millersburg back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Upper Dauphin Area Trojans were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Millersburg Indians. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Upper Dauphin Area still got an impressive performance from Aidan Bingaman, who went 10 for 16 on his way to 31 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Bingaman is now averaging an impressive 16 points per game. Tyler Erdley was another key player, putting up ten points.

Colt Bellis was a one-man wrecking crew for Millersburg as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Bellis a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyniel Johnson, who posted 11 points.

Upper Dauphin Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Millersburg, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Upper Dauphin Area will challenge Line Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Upper Dauphin Area has insisted on making their lastfive contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-4 during that stretch of close contests. As for Millersburg, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 76-72 win against Mount Calvary Christian on the 10th.
